Accountability

Sustainability report 2024

Developing energy-efficient solutions lies at the heart of AutoStore. The company’s mission has always been, and remains, to make a strong contribution to a more sustainable world and future for all.

AutoStore’s Sustainability Statements represent our fifth annual sustainability report, and our first sustainability report aligned with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) in accordance with the requirements of the Norwegian Accounting Act Sections 2-3 and 2-4, including the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).

Our aim is to be transparent, balanced, and comprehensive about the state of ESG at AutoStore today, alongside the company’s direction for the future. The report highlights our progress over the last year in addressing key sustainability topics like climate change, circularity, and social & governance issues. Sustainability reporting is integrated into the annual report.

Human rights and decent working conditions

The Norwegian Transparency Act became law on July 1, 2022. It ensures respect for basic human rights and decent working conditions in the company`s own operations and in the supply chain.

AutoStore works actively to comply with the demands and expectations set by the Transparency Act. The statement applies to AutoStore Group and any third party acting on behalf of AutoStore Group and is published in accordance with the requirements of The Norwegian Transparency Act.

Policies

Our ethical guidelines are set out in our Code of Conduct, the key governing document for all persons working for or on behalf of AutoStore. The Code of Conduct was updated in 2025.

AutoStore has a zero tolerance for corruption, anchored in our Code of Conduct and outlined in the Anti-corruption policy.

In 2025 AutoStore revised and updated our Business Partner Code of Conduct. The Business Partner CoC is replacing our Supply Chain Business Ethics Requirement, and is applicable for all suppliers, partners, or other third parties working with, for, or on behalf of the AutoStore group. Suppliers, partners, and third parties are required to confirm they have read and understood the Business Partner Code of Conduct. The revision is a demonstration of AutoStore taking responsibility in our wider community, and how we consider all parts of the AutoStore community as important stakeholders and business partners in our supply chain.

At AutoStore, we expect a high degree of ethical behavior from all our employees and we have implemented a Whistleblowing and Investigation Policy to allow for internal and external reporting of incidents that breach with the Code of Conduct.

Do you have serious concerns over wrongdoing at AutoStore, e.g., harassment, health and safety, corruption, or discrimination, you are encouraged to report this to Safecall. Visit Safecall here.

We are a global company and we have created an HR Policy to ensure that human resources, including equal opportunities, labor rights and recruitment, are managed in a uniform way throughout AutoStore.

In addition, in The Remuneration Policy we present the framework around how contractual and compensation items are set and managed for executive members of management and other senior leaders of AutoStore.

AutoStore is committed to meeting its responsibility to respect human rights as defined by the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. These responsibilities are reflected in the Human Rights Policy which outlines the main principles governing AutoStore’s management of its impact on human rights.

For AutoStore, sustainability is as much about the solutions, products, and services we offer as to how we run our business and treat our employees and partners. It’s important that we stay true to those values, which is why we’ve introduced an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) tracking program.

Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE)

HSE Policy

Our Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) policy is vital for several reasons.

First, it helps manage risks related to quality, safety, and environmental impact. By adhering to these policies, companies can prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations.

Second, a strong QHSE focus enhances a company’s reputation, attracting customers and stakeholders.

Third, QHSE practices improve operational efficiency and productivity.

Fourth, environmental responsibility is emphasized, benefiting both the planet and societal expectations. Finally, integrating QHSE principles ensures long-term growth and stability, providing a competitive edge and sustained success.
