Special and Standard

All goods are stored in standardized, specially designed plastic containers called Bins. Every single Bin is identified by a unique number stored in the AutoStore™ Controller database and repeated with a label on the Bin. The system knows the location of every Bin.

The size that's right for you

Bins are available in three different sizes. Further flexibility can be added by using moveable dividers. These split any Bin into smaller sections, enabling you to store multiple product categories and increase your storage capacity.

The largest Bin (425 mm) is compatible with the R5+ and R5+ Pro Robots.

Specialized Bins for AutoCase 

AutoCase uses a special, purpose-built container to ensure gentle and secure handling of whole cases during automated warehouse operations. Unlike traditional totes that may cause impact damage when cases are dropped in, AutoCase lifts the Bin walls into place, enclosing the carton without any abrupt movement.

With a 425-mm height optimized for broad SKU coverage and compatibility with different packaging types, AutoCase supports efficient and flexible storage without requiring packaging standardization.

Durable and long-lasting

Manufactured of HDPE, PP-C or anti-static PP-ESD, the AutoStore Bin is stackable and engineered to withstand hundreds of thousands of movements over years of service. Bins are so durable, the world's first AutoStore warehouse at Elotec in Norway still uses the Bins installed in 2005.
